A-29 | Impact of Age on Clinical Outcomes After ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Contemporary Analysis

چکیده
Primary PCI for acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is associated with increased risk of mortality and procedural complications. Increasing age an established factor related In this study, we test the hypothesis that these clinical outcomes increase age. multicenter, retrospective observational study from Indiana University Health Multicenter Cath Registry, which includes data 7 participating hospitals, were analyzed in patients undergoing primary STEMI between 2016-2021. Stratified analysis was performed groups <65, 65-80, >80 years In-hospital complications assessed through review medical records. Among 3931 included analysis, in-hospital complication rates studied higher increasing age, except GI bleeding (Table). Event statistically significantly different across recurrent MI, new need renal replacement therapy, bleeding. 3-4-fold advanced years. The likely part to comorbid conditions frailty.

Impact of Acute Kidney Injury on Clinical Outcomes after ST Elevation Acute Myocardial Infarction
PURPOSE This study aimed to compare the incidence and clinical significance of transient versus persistent acute kidney injury (AKI) on acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). MATERIALS AND METHODS The study was a retrospective cohort of 855 patients with STEMI. AKI was defined as an increase of ≥0.3 mg/dL in creatinine level at any point during hospital stay. The study population w...
متن کاملThe impact of anthropomorphic indices on clinical outcomes in patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction.
AIMS Multiple studies have focused on the relationship of body anthropometric measures with clinical events in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients, highlighting the 'obesity paradox'. However, the relative prognostic importance of these measures over other baseline variables is less known. METHOD AND RESULTS We performed a retrospective analysis of 94,108 STEMI patients from s...
متن کاملPlatelet-To-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictor of No-Reflow after Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients with ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Introduction: No-reflow increases the complications and mortality rate of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Therefore, it is important to identify patients at a higher risk of developing no-reflow. This study aimed to systematically review the prognostic value of the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) to predict no-reflow. Materials and Methods:</s...
متن کاملcomparison of short-term clinical outcome of non-st elevation versus st elevation myocardial infarction
background: studies on the prognosis of st elevation myocardial infarction (stemi) versus non-st elevation myocardial infarction (non-stemi) have shown different results. the present study was designed to compare the early outcome and left ventricular systolic function of patients with st and non-st elevation myocardial infarction. methods: the patients' information was derived from 10,065 cons...
متن کاملacute st-elevation myocardial infarction after coronary stent fracture
the invention of the drug-eluting stent (des) has brought about revolutionary changes in the field of interventional cardiology. in the des era, in-stent restenosis has declined but new issues such as stent thrombosis have emerged. one of the emerging paradigms in the des era is stent fracture. there are reports about stent fracture leading to in-stent restenosis or stent thrombosis. most of th...
